Dietrichs' Platform soled Boots

Douglas Dietrich claims to be 5'9' tall but admits to wearing modified footwear to extend his height closer to 6'.

Dietrich is actually 5'6 weighing approximately 130 lbs or less.

Note: Boot is laced "left under right" with a 3" Modification to sole and heel.

US Marines are taught to lace their boots left over right - to provide for a quicker release in the water, and so that a Navy Corpsman can quickly cut the boot laces on one side in order to remove the boot from a wounded Marine.

(I guess Dietrich was not paying attention in basic training.)

These are not WW2 Paratroopers Boots. They are a type normally worn by lumberjacks and other outdoorsmen.  And they are not cheap!
