"Hello ...hello? Is anyone actually out looking for Dr. David Lewis Anderson? Where is a good conspiracy theorist/investigative reporter when you need one?" - Sharon K. Grossman (2012) https://historybizarremysterious.blogspot.com/2012/03/the-strange-case-of-dr-david-lewis.html
Challenge Accepted: November 2021
Nearly two decades ago a "Dr. David Lewis Anderson" suddenly appeared publicly claiming he was a "physicist" and " time travel insider" who had established what he called "time-warped field theory" while being "employed at a young age by the US Air Force".
Anderson had created the "Anderson Institute" complete with a slogan intended to cause historians to cringe in disgust: "Where history is becoming an experimental science"
Anderson gained a bit of notoriety after first appearing as a guest with the late Art Bell on Coast to Coast AM in March 2002, and again in January 2010.
2002 interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HELaJDThVWs
Art Bell introduced David Anderson at 38:18 - 39:50
Anderson told Art Bell that he was conducting experiments in "time control" at a secure research center located in Long Island, NY, and calling using a satellite phone. He also said that there was also a "small office" maintained in Valley Forge, PA. and that he was funding the project himself.
Anderson claims he had been contacted by fiction writer Whitley Strieber who subsequently contacted Art Bell, which resulted in a second interview in January 2010.
2010 interview: https://podcastaddict.com/episode/57491325
(03:10 - 6:25)
(I think Art knew he was a liar but didn't let the facts get in the way of a good bullshit story.)
In his introduction of Anderson, Art Bell appeared to question the validity of Anderson's Bio!
(4:05) "This Bio just brings up its own questions"
(5:12) Bell: "What kind of phone are you on, Doctor?
Anderson: "Uh, I'm on a landline, uh, but we actually have a, we don't have landlines in the research center we are on a satellite connection right now."
Anderson claimed he was calling from a "secure research facility" in New Mexico, via satellite phone. He told Bell that his "Global Organization" now had scientists and labs in China, Japan, the middle east, and India.
Separation from USAF:
During the 2010 interview, he said: (1:18:50 - 1:21:05)
"Two weeks prior I had already packed up all my belongings and shipped them back home. I had my going away party, I was taken off active duty and was waiting for my flight, and two weeks before, the Air Force denied my separation. I had completed my contract, they denied it."
Anderson claimed that he appealed to his WV State Senator John Rockefeller to intervene and that a Congressional Inquiry was conducted of his case that lasted 8-9 months.
Note: "Shipped" (not moved) is a term normally used by personnel who served duty outside CONUS overseas.
(Most all ROTC graduates are commissioned with a 4-year contract. Anderson graduated on Dec 28, 1983, so his contract would have been completed in Jan 1987). He would also have recently been promoted to Captain having met those requirements.
There are two things very wrong with this story. The military does not approve an officer's resignation, remove him from active duty status and process him to leave his command, then suddenly deny the separation. It just doesn't happen.
8-9 months kept from leaving the USAF would have been until Oct 1987. This is a lie because he got married in the United States in Feb 1987.
I have submitted a FOIA request to the NPRC for Anderson's releasable record of service. This record (NA-Form 13164), should confirm such resignation by listing his discharge as "Retired"
Art Bell seemed less impressed with Anderson's story. Bell was contacted by a listener who correctly noted it had been 8 years, not 5.
"You, along with a lot of other claimed time travelers" just flat disappear" - Art Bell
Anderson was also confronted by a caller to Art's show:
"The last caller was a young lady who just happened to be a Ph.D. candidate in physics (or at least that's what she said).
She asked Anderson some very astute physics questions that involved some differential calculus. Dr. Anderson stuttered, sputtered, and fell flat on his face...almost.
Art rescued him by cutting into the answer. Anderson obviously has some technical background otherwise he wouldn't have been offered a VP with Bosch. But he isn't a Ph.D. in physics." - Darby
A pattern of Movement:
After resigning his commission and leaving the USAF in early 1987, Anderson appears to have settled in the northeast. The background report showed a number of addresses in Pennsylvania in the late '80s and early-mid '90s before he appears in upstate New York in approximately 1998.
Anderson created a charity he called the World Genesis Foundation in 1999-2000 in Rochester, NY., and at one point had PO Box addresses in both the Rochester area and Long Island, NY.
But sometime in the mid to late 2000s, Anderson suddenly appears in the midwest in Arizona and New Mexico.
NOTE: At that point, there appears to have been a pattern of movement from one place to another every two years until 2021-22.
A Documentary Scam:
The 2009 "documentary" mentioned in the interview is no longer available for sale. https://www.amazon.com/Time-Travel-Journeys-into/dp/0984222405
I was able to find a video by the same title here: (It has 117 views)
https://ugetube.com/watch/time-travel-journeys-into-time-david-lewis-anderson_atbegcb5BIcPPCj.html
Similar time travel claims have been made by Al Bielek, John Titor, and Andrew Basiago.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUBRsNVnKcY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1v1qgR1LG0g
But, in 2010, Anderson inexplicably disappeared once again, leaving the world of the internet and conspiracy theorists with only rumor and speculation as time moved on.
Some have even speculated that Anderson was a fictional character in the 2002 book Ong's Hat: The Beginning by Joseph Matheny and Peter Moon which later became an internet reality game known as "Ong's Hat"
https://gizmodo.com/ongs-hat-the-early-internet-conspiracy-game-that-got-t-1832229488To this day, he has not appeared publicly, and never published anything. His previous companies, research, videos, and websites have gradually disappeared and his true whereabouts remain unknown.

Who is David Lewis Anderson? |
The Anderson Institute was founded by Dr. David Lewis Anderson, Physicist in 1990. Essentially, the concept here is that we can change (warp) time. Dr. Anderson also claims that the Government can already do this, but keeps it secret. Classic conspiracy.
Ironically, the website does not appear to have been updated since 2012 and I can’t find any mention of Dr. Anderson since then on the internet. Our guess is his time machine worked and he left us for a while. Time travel falls into the pseudoscience category and the government cover-up as a conspiracy." (D. Van Zandt 4/12/2017)
Update: Anderson Institute has not updated content since 2012.
"David Anderson is a TOTAL AND COMPLETE FRAUD. I have known him since his undergrad days at WVU, where he studied Electrical Engineering. He has no Ph.D. and is no physicist. Check his academic credentials outside WVU; they do not exist.
If you really want to understand his hoax, you must first understand sociopaths. David is a card-carrying sociopath. Do NOT give him money or your trust. If anyone doubts these assertions, call me (number redacted). My name is (name redacted)."
54th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron Lockheed WC-130 in flight near Guam |
Detection Systems, Inc., is pleased to announce David Anderson as the newly appointed Vice President of Global Product Management for Intrusion Products, based at Detection Systems' corporate headquarters in Fairport, New York.
With more than fifteen years of experience in the security industry, Mr. Anderson also has experience as an officer in the United States Air Force and as a scientist. His educational background includes physics, philosophy and engineering, allowing Mr. Anderson to bring with him a vast and well-rounded wealth of knowledge to his position at Detection Systems.
Mr. Anderson comes to the company after several years with Newmark Technology as their Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. He has also worked in the security industry with ADEMCO, developing their commercial and government business. Mr. Anderson has extensive experience in strategic planning, market research and customer relations.
Mr. Anderson's responsibilities will include development of market programs for the company's intrusion products worldwide as well as the design and planning of new products. Additionally, he will assist in directing strategic support planning with the Bosch Security Systems group.
"We are very excited to have David join our executive team," stated Peter Ribinski, President/CEO of Detection Systems, Inc. "David's background includes the technical and security industry experience necessary for success in this position. We are certain that his influence will strengthen our ability to produce quality products and build upon our well-established brand equity in the marketplace."
Detection Systems, a member of the Bosch Group, is a leading supplier of equipment to the electronic protection industry, with facilities in New York, California, Argentina, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The company designs, manufactures and markets electronic detection, control and commnunication equipment for security, fire protection, access control, and closed circuit television applications.
By the time that the show aired we were already aware that there was no "time travel research" laboratory, that the TTRA/TTRC consisted only of a PO Box, phone, and one staff to read the mail and the TTRA/TTRC "monthly" research newsletter sent to dues-paying members was a volume of one edition sent out month after month to new members who never saw a second edition. And membership was not cheap.
Here's the price list for his newsletter in 2002:
Select one of the following payment options:
(In the United States --- Outside United States)
Credit Card - 1 annual payment of: $149 --- $219
Credit Card - 4 annual payments of: $39 --- $58
Credit Card - 12 annual payments of $14 --- $20
Check or Money Order - 1 annual payment of $ 149 --- $219
I remembered the 2002 interview with Art Bell and checked the background report for any address on Long Island, NY. And sure enough:
No Secure Research Lab Here |
This also conflicts with his other address in Rochester, NY at the same time in 2002.
At this point, there is a gap of 8 years where I find no specific information about his whereabouts at all. The period also corresponds with the 8 years Art Bell mentioned he "disappeared".
"Undisclosed Location in New Mexico" |
"Darby" continued:
"I copied & pasted the above price list but it didn't format correctly. The two prices are for in the US and outside the US. As I said in another post, Anderson's involvement in "time travel research" was just one method he used to get people to send him money.
In the past few years he's had a dozen or more websites, mostly set up to appear to be non-profits (and maybe they are - I didn't do that much research) under the general umbrella of the Anderson Institute/Anderson Multinational LLC - New York (www.andersoninstitute.com)- all requesting money. I checked on the sites last night and they are now all defunct. Only the World Genesis Foundation remains."
"We do know who Anderson's attorney is for the Anderson Institute: Louis Ryen, Rochester, NY. His practice specialty? Debt recovery and bankruptcy. Anderson Multinational LLC is no longer listed with the NY Secretary of State as an active company. "
"Anderson closed the TTRC/TTRA back in 2002 when he was hired by Bosch. What's interesting today is that all of his Anderson Institute sites have closed down and his current attorney is a bankruptcy specialist.
Do I believe that Anderson is a grifter? Yes. Can I prove that he's a grifter? No. But I won't be buying any of his products. The only reason that I paid him the fee back in 2001 was to see just what sort of scam it was. When he proved to me that he was precisely what I suspected I'd had enough."
"Search for "Anderson Multinational" and choose "All" because the LLC is currently inactive.
The output will be the corporate filing for Anderson International and it will list the corporate headquarters for this worldwide "giant" as 620 Park Ave, #308, Rochester, NY 14607. Google Earth the address. No hi-tech ultra-modern worldwide headquarters. It's a flat-roof apartment building in a residential neighborhood. At least it's a step up from the old Time Travel Research Association. It wasn't even an apartment or house.
Smithtown, NY PO box location |
"Then try World Genesis Foundation, Wisdom Art, Santa Fe, NM, Rapid Express Transport, Internet Solutions People (my favorite - they use IBM's "Big Blue" corporate logo font face to make their own logo "ISP". Cute), ...you'll get the idea from there. Follow the links. There used to be a lot more sites but they all went down last July. The two things they all had in common were Anderson Multinational, LLC and World Genesis Foundation.
'Now, scammer that he is, I have to say that he does seem to have the ability to attract women. His girlfriend Heather Caton is smoking hot...and in on the gag." - "Darby"
The Anderson Institute website still remains, but with most of the links inoperative.https://www.andersoninstitute.com/

"He showed up with Heather in a senior RV park in Arizona. This is their second season with us. We had some negative feelings and googled his name...So what to do? Seems some of his websites have not been updated since 2008-09. Kinda dropped out.., and we think he is gathering info. from the seniors for what? The only hot tip is we know where he is. We are contacting the local PD for more info. "

No mention of Anderson appears any longer on the WGF website as having been the founder, former CEO, or financial benefactor. Meanwhile, he has been reported since 2010 to have been in London, India, Africa, and Romania.
Connection to Peter Moon and Douglas Dietrich:
One of Anderson's most active apologists is none other than Douglas Duane Dietrich's promoter and publicist Peter Moon.
"Dr. David Anderson is alive and well. My latest communication from him was from the country of India where the largest time control facilities in the world are housed. They are near the Digi Hills which is only an hour or two from Mumbai.
David has gone off the radar for a few reasons. First and foremost, incredible breakthroughs in research has commanded his primary attention. It is also true that his partners (two in particular) were not in favor of him releasing the video demonstration of his time control chamber. There were about twenty of us who saw an early version of it on video tape on April 10, 2010.
I video'd much of the presentation but was not allowed to video the time chamber that was being shown on video. The human reaction to his knowledge is also another reason why humanity has not been given further clues. There is a mad dog reaction that was also suffered by Joe Matheny when he talked about his Metamachine, a synchronicity generator based upon artificial intelligence programming, which precipitated strange and intense coincidences in the physical.
That is now patented too. universe, but he had to put up with a lot of bullshit from people's lack of intelligence and development. I keep a blog (www.digitalmontauk.com) and there is some data on Dr. David Anderson that you might find of interest. I will keep updates on him on that blog. I have more to add to it but have not had the time to put everything up. None of that, however, is real recent (in the last two months or so).
I make an annual trip to Romania where I sometimes see him. I am also hoping to make a trip to India in the next couple of years or so. He is no longer president of the WGF because of his workload. He is still involved, however, in the background as he is a major funding source for WGF."
"He's a fraud, just as Peter Moon is.
All of the random sudden comments supporting David Lewis Anderson is suspicious. He is a total fraud and its all nonsense.
He is alive and I know where he is...he's not a time traveller!"
Moon and Anderson have perpetuated conspiracy stories such as the "Philadelphia Experiment" and "Montauk Project" both of which have been exposed as being complete hoaxes based on fictional pseudoscience.
Razimus shows that Moon was influenced by a series of films from 1956-1990 and proves that Moon used these themes in Chapter 14 and 15 of his book:
Poster for the film "Total recall" 1990 |
Anderson Institute logo |
Moon claims to have worked with and traveled to Romania with Anderson (as his bio states).
But Dietrich claims that Anderson is a recluse and has become some sort of chemically infected madman living in seclusion for almost a decade in the ruins of the Eastman Kodak facility in Rochester, NY."

@QWatchingEyes: Thanks for your comment here. I had not seen the Quartzite Town Council video and your description of Anderson's behavior says it all.
Delete"David L Anderson has a temper tantrum because he got caught trying to not get his permits, Business license and inspections. Then he tried to defend his friend that refused to go by the health laws/codes. His friend would rather contaminate businesses than be concerned about the Communities health. The Health department had to intervene. What is sickening is they use children and Veteran as there front smoke screen for their Business of many names."
I has suspected he owned properties including the RV Park mentioned, but I have yet to find any employment history for Anderson. Do you have any other information you can provide? If so, please post it here in the comments. Thank you, Richard.
A shady individual for certain. No clue what he does for a career. Gotten my suspicions though. Used to own something called Black Sun Technologies years ago.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.bizapedia.com/az/black-sun-technologies-llc.html
Does much work with poor kids and ham radio. Most companies and websites listed on that World Genesis site lead back to Dave or his friends. It's not directly sponsored by UNESCO either.
Really wish I could be more help. But it's all I got.
Good luck.
@WatchingEyes: Thanks again, I had not heard if this Black Sun Tech, LLC either, and it is still active. Your previous comment led me to another charity also "My La Paz, Inc.
DeleteI know his World Genesis Foundation is fake and connected mostly to Romania and does not appear on the list of global clubs for UNESCO https://en.unesco.org/system/files/globallistclubs_for_unesco_10nov2021.pdf
It's ironic that his charities are associated with youth, when he abandoned his own wife and children. Thanks again, I appreciated it. Richard
Do you have verifiable info that can be produced demonstrating Anderson abandoned his wife and children? If not then it's nonsensical.
Deletei emailed patent office they said david did file for patent application
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: You are a lying piece of shit. The so-called "Time Reactor Patent Application #61286110" does not exist. It was nothing more than a PowerPoint image created by Anderson who sent it to "Peter Moon." The US Patent and Trademark Office provides a detailed search process on its website. I you can't prove your pathetic claim by copying the text of the "email" in its entirety, including the mail address of the office and name of the USPTO official who sent it to you, and post it as a comment here, then you are a pathetic lying POS.
DeleteGreat work. You got pretty much everything I dug up a couple years ago, albeit there are some pictures of him around Quartzsite and he's covered in tattoo's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbW9KrJzXUQ. He changed his look up and he avoids the camera. He's still around Quartzite, involved with Quartzfest. Heather recently took on the Anderson name, she had kept Canton for a long time even though they had been together for years. It's shady shit.
ReplyDeleteAre you aware if Anderson has had any employment history in that area? Or did he manage to buy properties to rent to campers? I have found no record of employment since 1987.The fact that he (now Heather) runs a shady charity connected to Romania is suspicious too.
DeleteI'm not aware of any employment with evidence, nor have I heard about him renting to campers. I had someone tell me that he might be linked to a Cryogenics lab in the area where they were using his tech, so take that with a grain of salt. I personally didn't look too much further into it, I was told a lot of wild shit by a lot of wild people in some dark corners of the internet regarding Anderson.
DeleteYes, I believe they both first met at Atlantykron in Romania. Atlantykron attracts some interesting people and donors. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantykron
Agreed. Atlantkyron does attract interesting folks....
DeleteThis is interesting. I had not seen that video though with him getting angry before. He's a pretty nice chap in reality. You may want to look into Oakridge National lab of which he has frequented. There are some questional thing's I see in this research which makes things appear rather murky. Perhaps do more research not all is it seems.
ReplyDeleteDavid Lewis Anderson is not and has never been involved with or employed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). There is a David E. Anderson at ORNL. https://www.ornl.gov/staff-profile/david-e-anderson
DeleteNo not that one. I never said he was employed there. However he has indeed passed that way.
DeleteAnd what evidence is there to prove this? Anderson is not a scientist nor is he a PhD.

DeleteThank you for publishing this. I’ve listened to the original Art Bell podcast of Dr. Anderson’s dozens of times (recently discovered it in 2022) and was wondering what happened to his work when I Googled to learn more.
